Allow me to introduce myself…

I’m Jeanette Brickner-Wheatley, the woman behind Brickner Translations.

I was born and raised in western Wisconsin in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area and grew up a true “Sconnie” with a love for cheese, the Green Bay Packers, and traditional Friday night fish frys.

At age 16, I was awarded a Congress-Bundestag Scholarship to study in Germany in the Spreewald, where I became immersed in German (and soccer/football) for eleventh grade at Paul Gerhard Gymnasium in Lübben.

I went on to earn BAs in German and English and an MA in Foreign Language, Literature, and Translation (German) from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, with a stop along the way at European University Frankfurt Oder where my coursework was in Central European History.

Having lived in many different countries, including Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Poland (in addition to my extensive travels in many more), I make a point to keep a pulse on English in many different native and international markets so that I can always provide my customers with cutting-edge service.
